Cromwell shows Orpheus Retail at the retra Conference

Lucy & Megan - not to be "truffled" with!

Cromwell exhibited at the retra Conference at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Birmingham from 26th -27th April. On show was the company’s new Windows-based Orpheus Retail system - specially designed to meet the demanding needs of retailers with no IT or with IT systems that do not adequately support their businesses. It can be run on a retailers’ own server; is available for a very low purchase price; has very low ongoing maintenance costs; and provides simple web integration.

The Cromwell stand featured a truffle-tasting competition run by Megan and Lucy which tempted numerous delegates during the breaks in the conference programme.

Tony Edens in Lincoln choose Orpheus Retail

One of the many retailers that have signed up for Cromwell’s Windows-based Orpheus Retail system is Tony Edens, a family business founded in 1977 in Lincoln.

Orpheus Retail has been specially designed to meet the demanding needs of retailers with no IT or with IT systems that do not adequately support their businesses. It can be run on a retailers’ own server; is available for a very low purchase price; has very low ongoing maintenance costs; and provides simple web integration.

Alison Greenwood, Store Manager, and daughter of Tony Edens founders Tony & Sheila Edens, is delighted with the decision:

She says: “We chose Orpheus Retail™ because it was the best software at the best price from the industry’s best supplier. It will enable us to improve business efficiency and build on our already very high levels of customer service. We are delighted to be working with Cromwell as their industry knowledge and customer support are second to none.”

Retailers choose Cromwell when their “Compass” fails

A recent advertising campaign in the trade press in which we asked if retailers’ software ‘compass’ had failed has generated an unprecedented level of response. It appears there are significant numbers of retailers whose software suppliers are too understaffed to provide adequate support for their IT. As a result, we have been inundated with enquiries on how we can “steer them back on course” with our IT which is supported 24/7/365 by the largest and most professional support team in our industry.
